My name is Lilianne Kramer, and I am originally from Vermont in the United States. I grew up surrounded by nature as the youngest of five children in a French-Canadian family. Our farm was located close to the Canadian border.

From the vibrant colors of the fall foliage to winter’s blanket of white snow, growing up in such a beautiful place taught me to appreciate the wonders of nature. Through my paintings, I seek to capture cool waters, lush forests, and the crisp freshness of the open air.

I studied drawing and painting at Johnson State College in Vermont and in Nice, France, where I spent a year as an exchange student. After completing my studies, I decided to remain in Europe rather than return to the United States.

As soon as my family life and career allowed, I began taking art classes again. Over the years, I completed numerous courses in watercolor, drawing, and acrylic painting.

For many years, we lived in Hohenlohe, a region whose natural beauty reminded me of my home in Vermont. I also had the opportunity to present my work in numerous exhibitions there.

Now retired, I live in Karlsruhe with my partner. Painting continues to be an important part of my life and something I pursue with great passion. In addition to my artistic work, I teach English and French—two languages I learned as a child.
